Modern
The CONCEPT
The existing kitchen layout worked but the dark and dated finishes were undesirable. We retained the cabinets and refreshed them with new paint. Tops, lighting, appliances and tile were carefully selected to create a light, modern design.
‘70’S MOD MADE CURRENT
By removing dated finishes such as paneling, re-facing tile and brick finishes and thoughtfully using color, we created a dramatic change without major construction.
Material SELECTIONS
The existing cabinets were painted a pale gray. Recycled quartz countertops provided a distinctly modern look and feel. In the adjacent living room, the old brown brick fireplace was refaced with white quartzite mosaic with a floating quartz mantel.
